Sonous

Drones are heard before they are seen.

Sonous builds passive acoustic sensors that detect and locate small drones by sound alone.

Capability

Sound is the one signal that cannot be switched off.

Radar struggles with aircraft that fly small, low and slow. Radio detection needs a drone that transmits. We listen instead.

01

Emits nothing

A sensor that only listens gives away no position of its own.

02

Hears the silent ones

Autonomous and fibre-optic drones carry no radio link. They still make noise.

03

Past the treeline

Sound travels around the terrain that stops a beam.

Mission

Earliest warning, for the people closest to the threat.

Equipment one person can carry, emplace and walk away from. Cheap enough to put everywhere it is needed.

Product

ECHO

Early Counter-drone Hearing Outpost

Echo

Emplaced

Set forward of the position it protects, and left there.

Mobile Echo

Ground rover

Driven out past the forward line, then halted to listen.

Echo Alert

Worn

The warning on the wrist of the person in the open.
